In ye olden days of physical film, there was this thing called double-exposure. Today, you can do so much more, creatively, in the same vein with digital. It doesn’t feel quite right to call it “double exposure.” In my case, I’m calling it a collage, as I’m super-imposing three, four or more images of varying degrees of opacity. Sometimes each image covers the entire piece, sometimes only part of it. I loved playing with the effects on color and layering and light. And of course, these days, anything can become a photograph–even something that started out as a painting or drawing. Ahh, mixed media. Yay.
